Well, there was a little dance we attended. There was supposed to be a costume contest . . . but I don't think that ended up happening. 3 of the 15 couples there were dressed up. Here is what we came up with.
If you can't tell, let me point out the obvious. . . we have Dustin as Napoleon Dynamite sporting a true blue Napoleon shirt, as seen in the movies. You can't see so much from the picture but the high-water old man pants are mine. And I still quite like them, wore them last week. (yes my hubby can wear my pants - and looks better in them than me - except for the high-water aspect.) . . . we also have his sidekick Pedro. His cowboy tie piece sporting the words "vote for Pedro" the belt buckle and hair are real though- and we have Tonya and I doing our best to impersonate their dates. We have blue eyeshadow, the glitter, bright pink lipstick & blush and of course prom sashes. Mine "Prom Queen" hers "Runner up" Did you notice the corsages and boutonnieres too? oh yes, we went all the way! :)
We wished that more people would have showed. Honestly it felt a little like footloose. We walked in, the decor was great, and people just sitting around the edges in chairs (unlike footloose at least they were chatting) :) Anyways, so we role in and get the dancing going it was a blast. Honesty we were going to go as the Footloose couple, I just didn't have time to make the dress - or find him a smokin' maroon jacket - but keep your eyes out, Halloween will be happening! :)
