Do I dare even say it?

The church Library is jinxed for me. (sp?) Every time I run there for a quick little "get this done" it goes terribly wrong. The first time would have been when my child barfed everywhere in the Library, while I tried to get things together for an enrichment that I spent way too many hours on, did way too many things that people probably never looked at. :) Oh yeah and was given 5 min to present. :) Do you think I was a little bitter? :) Why was I so dumb? I was so stressed, I didn't even give my poor sick baby all of the love I should have because I was under the dead line. :)

Anyways, that's not really the story I dare not repeat. It is this one. The one that Kaylee's siblings will tell all of her dates one day. :) So i had to run to the church Library (that hates me) to do some prep work for an up coming Primary Activity. Mia has to poo so after asking her if she could hold it a little longer a couple of times, I finally give in. I ask Kaylee if she needs to go too. She says no. no. no. Not even 5 min after we get back into the library I smell it. Oooh I was mad! :) But what can you do. The diapers were in the van. 5 more min and I should be done then we will change her and leave. 3 min later I turn to see her .... oh yes, licking her fingers. I am like "what are you....?" And yes I smell her tiny little fingers. i don't think i dare even say it.

And of course Kaylee & Mia played in the bathroom the day before and squirted out all the kids toothpaste. And I haven't replaced it yet. :(

It's funnier to me today. Yesterday I was fuming mad. I was like being a mom is just disgusting.

"Mommy I talk like you "

Mia is sitting frustrated with something she can't get to work, so she lets out a mumble/groan and a "Gosh Dang it!" then a pause, she looks up at me proudly, "Mommy I talk like you !"

Don't you just love children. It's like living in a house full of mirrors, you will some way or another see all your flaws. . . :) Got to love it!

What not to put in your laundry

So I did a load of washing, was putting it in the dryer when I notices these clear/whitish balls stuck all over it, my machine - everything. I was like what the heck? Then I found the culprit - a diaper. Oh yes, it is a bad idea to pre- sort laundry in nice little bins and blindly dump them into the washer days later. I honestly don't know if it was a clean diaper or a "wet one" But I blame one of my girls for sure! :) (probably Kaylee) Lesson Laundry and diapers don't mix.
(on a happy note, one more cycle with an extra rinse and some vinegar took it all out nicely! :)

The OCD temper tantrum +

Moments that only a mom can appreciate. . .

My little almost 4 year old is OCD. Makes for painful mornings doing her hair (or lack their of) and of getting dressed. But, there are some days I love it. :) like the bed making story below. Or like today. Mia was mad at me because I didn't give her a pink sippy cup she wanted. (trying to get her to drink out of cups more) So she proceeds to throw - what I can only term as an OCD temper tantrum. She walks over to the fridge which is slightly ajar and beeping at me to let me know it - and closed it firmly. She walks over to the pantry and closed that door firmly. Then walks past the kitchen table, sees some clean diapers there (that don't belong) rolls her eyes, lets out an annoyed grunt and picks them up and puts them away! I was laughing so hard. Heck, I might make her mad more often if she will pick up the house for me! :)

Last night Kaylee started crying at 3:47 am - it was the real cry. (You know the kind that means they are hurt.) So I ran in to rescue her, figuring she had fallen out of the bed. But there she was eyes closed, crying - IN BED. I thought maybe it was her missing pacifier . . . So I began the search. Then Mia rolled over (they are sharing a bed) "I didn't hit her, no I didn't" Figuring she was talking in her sleep, I shusshed her back to sleep. Kaylee then announced she had to go potty so we went to the bathroom. It was there she told me that Mia had hit her in the face.

I honestly don't know if Mia rolled over in her sleep and her arm hit her. If Kaylee was whining in her sleep so Mia popped her one. I really don't know. But I laughed when A. Kaylee asked to sleep a safe distance from Mia in the crib and B. Mia totally remembered hitting Kaylee last night. (I still don't know if it was an "accident" or not)

Boating Babies!

And the ones that wouldn't fit! :)

Boating Babies!

So, if there is a THING that I love most in life, it would be boating, water skiing and being on the lake with family. :) So I just had to post some most recent adventures! :)

my white trash dresser

so we have a dresser, that is some at least 20 years old, very possibly 30. And it one of the hand-me-down cheap (fake wood - you put together) variety. :) I don't mean to sound ungrateful! I was happy to call it my dresser for the first 6 years of our marriage. And happy that it was given to us free! (Thanks mom in law!) Since we have finally got ourselves a real bedroom set. . . (lucky going - out -of- business sale) My oldest will finally have a dresser! :) Up until now she has used plastic drawers in her closet. :) (Which she was quite attached to, and it took some convincing for her to take "Mommys old dresser" and give up the plastic drawers to doll clothes etc. :) Anyways, to make her love it more and me too. We decided to try some white trash decorating. :) I happen to love it. Her room is all pink and brown. So we used some old scraps etc and were able to cover up the worst part of the dresser, the handles. ;) So if any of you out there suffer from hand me down dressers with bad drawers here is a cheap idea for a kids dresser. :)
And since we are just on the subject of ribbons etc. :) If you know me, I have at least 100 bows for my girls hair. (ok, just one, Kaylee, 'cause Mia won't wear any ) But I had run out of options of where to put the things. One day I got an idea. Half stolen and half original. Again, this was a wonderful "FREE" project. I had the board, I had the scrapbook paper, mojpoj (sp?) and the ribbon, and of course all of the bows. :)

So if you need somewhere or thing to put all your bows. . . another idea I suppose (and yes that rhymed! :)
