Why do I love my Mia? Let me count the ways. . .

Oh yes, it is well known that Mia is OCD. I mean she is still a kid, and loves to make messes etc. But then there are these moments when she doesn't act like a little kid. So, you know when you are like, "that kid has been gone too long, and it's awfully quiet. I better go see what she's up to." It was one of those moments when I walked into see this.

(I would upload a pic. but the video is way better - worth the 30 second watch!)

The tale of the Kitty & Evil Aunt

Mia rounded the corner with her new stuffed kitty and it wasn't long before her Aunt Ronnie had a most wonderful stew a brewing!! It was just a simple suggestion. She said to her, " Mia, your cats hair is too long....I think it needs a hair cut." Mia disagreed with her and she made a few more suggestions knowing very well what she was doing. She just let the thought settle in her mind and a couple hours later this is what we found....

Click on the video link above.

Needless to say I was not happy with my sister teaching my child to give her stuffed animals - or anything for that matter a hair cut. I promise to do the same thing to her kids. I swear if Mia ever cuts her, or her sisters hair, she better sleep with one eye opened!

Do you think YOU can dance?

Some Pic of the girls in some dresses I finally got Mia to wear. And what is this? Oh Yes. SHE ASKED ME TO PUT HER HAIR in a PONY TAIL! :)

So I was burning some old so you think you can dance episodes for my sis, when Kaylee started doing the cha cha. Of course by the time I got the camera out the booty shake wasn't quite as good but it was still good enough for a good smile! :)

Mormon Swears

Just reminded of this funny story, gotta get it down now that I print my blog. :) This is about "mormon swears" - anyways, I used to say "What the H" and my mom was like "I don't like that Kristina" so I was thinking, I was going to say "what the K" for my name, but decided, on a whim with out realizing it, to say the first letter of my moms name ... Luann in stead. Oh, that came out SOOO much better than "what the H" it was an innocent mistake, but we used it for a long time to urk my mom! :)

Kaylee's Pouty Face

I just love Kaylee's expressions some times. Last night she came out with her hat on, and told us that she couldn't go to be because she was scared. When I asked her why she said it was because it was raining. (It is monsoon season, but I don't know that much was happening at that moment.) Anyways, you can't hear her as well as I hoped in the video, but her little face is priceless to me! :)

Mia Moments

I just have to say a few little snipits of Mia Moments. I love the girl, she is Halarious! Anyways, so she loves her baby dolls. She is such a good mommy. They get sick, throw up and have fevers a lot. She is always making them feel better. She has names that she has for them. The first baby ever's name was "baby" then "princess baby" now we have "America" "Coli" and "Neck" I wish that I could ask her the correct spellings. :)

So this morning she came in and asked me if the baby was out of my tummy yet. I told her that it wouldn't be for a long time, and I had to get really big etc. All day she has been asking me what we are going to name the baby. I try to explain that I don't know if the baby is a girl or boy. She told me it was a girl. Anyways, maybe hubby and I should just sit down and pick a name that could be boy or girl so that she can quit asking. :) But honestly I just call them "them" because I am trying to will them to be twins. :) We plan on having kids back to back again. I just say 2 for 1 is good. :) Plus people have WAY more sympathy for moms of twins. I could milk a few more RS dinners and such. :) HA HA!

Stinks to have a 31 yr old momma!

My poor little Kaylee is in her room pouting, mad at me because we were having fun dancing around, and I decided to do a little spin with her, then got sick and sat down. Did one more spin and then had to sit down again. My head maybe still spin in . She is still mad at me. :) Poor thing. If only Dustin would have found me earlier, she could have had a more mobile - less woosy mom. No wonder the biological clock ticks! :) You need to have them before you get to be a boring old walker carrying momma! :) Sorry Kaylee I am!

Pic of my girls for the family

I GOT MIA TO WHERE SOMETHING OTHER THAN PINK TODAY! oh yes. I think I am just going to refuse to wash the pink clothes - well at least dresses for a while! :) Look how cute they are!

Water Babies

We took the girls to this great little water park that is perfect for young kids. Only 75 cents to get in! ($2 for adults) anyways it was a blast. We rode in a small "tube river" that would dump on you in places. The girls loved all of it really. Kaylee was a trail blazer. She lead the way. There is a small "playground in the water" complete with small playground style slides that slide you into the pool. Mia didn't want to go on it. Kaylee did. So I brought her up & sat her down. She got nervous and started to whimper, but I just pushed her down the slide anyways. She was giggling and wanting to go again. After seeing that is was safe for Kaylee to go a couple of times, Mia joined in the fun. Then we took Kaylee down the next slide - a little bigger and more of a tube. She loved it. Mia wasn't as convinced. After going on that slide a couple of times, Kaylee looked at me and said, "I wanna go on that one mamma!" and pointed to this slide.

Ok, it isn't exactly this slide, but one just about like it. When I told her that she couldn't because she was too little she got mad at me and hit me. Gotta love my little Dare devil!

As for Mia, when we went Skiing she was all ready to go on the tube! So she has her brave moments! :) (Unfortunately we ran out of time and weren't able to tube. - but NEXT TIME!)

CELL PHONE - do you have an old one laying around?

Hey, so my sis slammed her cell phone into the car door several times in a fit of anger (or stupidity - the jury is still out on that one) and bought one off ebay and then thing died. Was trash.

My hubby, being the wonderfully frugal man that he is, picked the "free" phone with his plan. And it is junk too. :)

So, I am pleading with anyone who uses, knows someone who uses VERIZON. I am looking for a phone or two. I am even willing to pay for it, if it is a fair price ya know. :) So if you have an old one laying around because you are an upgrade freak = I would love you for it. :) let me know. and keep your ear to the ground for me PLEASE!

Swimming and Fun!

Mia and Kaylee have been taking swim lessons for the summer and been practicing for a few months now. Mia now is showing enough courage and improved skill to allow her to swim without any help.
She started off the day hesitant and not trusting it very much, but with each time she tried to swim she gained more and more confidence until she got to the point where she was truly excited to do it. With the camera on she was more than willing to show off!

Kaylee is trusting only when someone hangs onto her but is willing to dive, with help, to the bottom of the pool! Our children are doing great with this!

To prove that Dustin wake-surfs, check out the picture.
Yes, I am holding the rope still but notice the slack in the line. Shortly after
this, the rope is tossed on board and I do ride the wake for several minutes!

And how can we forget Mia's talk that she gave in church a few weeks ago?
Here she is practicing and being excited about what she is doing! It's quite fun to watch as a parent! With kids you understand how simple little things that your kids do are moments of pride while to others it is just a boring little snippet of someone else's life. I am proud of my little girls!
