Why a mother's Love has to be UNconditional!

The girls had fun. Dustin and I didn't see them for an hour. That is all that really matters right?

Mom's necklace

Just read a friends blog and she told about all the fun things her daughter got them for Christmas at their schools "secret workshop" or whatever you call it when you have parents send their kids with 10-20 bucks to get stuff for the family, all by their self they pick it out. . . you know the one. Anyway, Sparked a memory. I did the shopping for the family thing at school too. I was in 1st or 2nd grade and I remember walking up and down the tables and seeing the prettiest necklace for my mom. But they didn't have any "L's" for Luann (her name) or "M's" for Mom so I remember saying she will understand. it was so pretty all blue jeweled. So I bought her the only letter they had left. a "t" When I gave it to her for Christmas, she had a hard time explaining that she couldn't wear it. . . since mormons don't wear crosses. :) I gave it to my friends mom. :0 So fun!

Kaylee's lip

So you MIGHT be able to barely see the little red on the bottom (her) right lip. It was way worse than the picture shows. Her lips are much tiny er. This is a picture of her swollen lip. She still has a little scar today. I hope that it will go away, or she will look like the teenager that couldn't put her lipstick on straight! (Or that her mother never showed her!:) Luckily she is beautiful enough most people won't notice. :)

Mia's Haircut

So my dear little Mia has the most beautiful hair. It is perfectly straight, long and with natural highlights. But since she is 3 1/2 and has really only had 1 hair cut, it was time for another. Since I did such a great job on her first, I decided to do this one. ;) Well, 1/2 way through the trim I realized that she was holding her head to the side, and my cut was all slanted up. So, she ended up loosing about 4 inches when I only wanted to do 2. But the good thing that came out of it, she let me put in a head band! This is huge, for the past year I haven't been able to put so much as a clip in her hair, (and she hates bows too - even on clothes) so her hair is always over 1/2 her eyes. I was considering cutting her bangs that day too, but didn't. Hopefully she will continue to wear the headband so we can see her beautiful face! :)

Kaylee's 2 nd Birthday

So she is TWO! :) Her birthday was a wonderful one. :) Busy for mom as usual. But complicated when the poor thing trips and hit her lip on the corner of this dresser type thing. (It was a cheap one with SHARP edges.) Well, she started bleeding EVERYWHERE! And mom panics. I just try to hold her (and this is HORRIBLE as a mother I know - but I am trying not to get her blood on my brand new shirt, and looking for a towel that is not pink, so the blood does not stain, I know I know, I am terrible!) Anyways, I kinda freeze in situations like this, and I did of course, I think unrationally in panic like situations. So luckly Dustin was home, so that he was able to show me how to put pressure on it and stop the bleeding. I felt so bad that she had this giant and deep cut on her lip for her bday pictures AGAIN (Last year it was a black eye for her bday). Anyways, here are a few pictures of her bday. Can't see the lip too well and the close ups didn't turn out sorry Tash - but there is a great action shot of her falling off her new bike! :)

The cut was pretty deep and she kept playing with it with her tounge, opening the wound deeper, so we gave her her pacifier back, to keep the cut shut and let it heal better. Ironically the next day she tripped on a stool in the bathroom, fell on her face and cut her lip again, but this time in a new place and on her pacifier. ;) Seriously the poor thing! :)
